Ito ay para sa mga masa
Sa lahat ng nawalan ng pag-asa
Sa lahat ng ng aming nakasama
Sa lahat ng hirap at pagdurusa
Naaalala nito pa ba
Binigyan namin kayo ng ligaya
~ Eraserheads, Para Sa Masa
Looking back, I’ve seen enough of how people shed the sincerest of tears over MTV Pinas and NU107. Now, as if being played with, Pinoy music scene has yet to face another ending of something magnificent —- Some thingS magnificent. As per the Eraserheads, yeah. ITS GRADUATION TIME.
Truth is, we could have - should have prevented it. If only we were strong enough to support these great musicians, these couldn’t have happened. Yet, here it is. This is the product of our everlasting bootlegs skills and justin bieber fevers. This is how the OPM will die. In your our hands exists the power they need just enough for us to still be able to see them all. If only we cared a bit more. If only you bought their album instead of downloading it. If only. If only..
Even if Bamboo is no stranger to this kind of departure, the people are just so tired of seeing everyone/everything leaving/ending. And Champ? Man, Hale made considerable impact in OPM’s battle of survival against KPOP and Beiber. Sugarfree. Oh why, Ebe. Oh, just the thought of it sucks. Oh, well.
Long live OPM. One love. Fuck yeah. So yeah. Here’s for all of us Pinoys going extra mile to support Pinoy muzikeros. RAKENROL!
edit: Man, i’m still heartbroken Sugarfree has been the soundtrack of our high school lives. oh. :(
